Disney executives recently announced that their theme parks would start production on a new ride based on the mega hit TV show “Andor”. The ride will be built at Disney World’s Epcot Center and will involve interacting with the environment of the multiple countries at the World Showcase. Guests will be able to make friends everywhere as they slowly build up a resistance base to attack the Empire. Then, as the ride ends, Stormtroopers will enclose on the group and begin firing. It is unclear at this time if the weapons will be live rounds or not.
“We spent $650 million on this season of Andor so we really need to see a return on that investment,” said Disney CEO Bob Iger. “The fans seem to really align with the Ghorman people for some reason, so we decided to build a ride that will let guest be able to live in that world as seen in the show. And as an added bonus, maybe the commoners won’t be so uppity once they see the consequences of protesting for peace.”
Further details of the ride are still unknown, however given the simplicity of the ride Disney believes it can start operating this summer. Lightning Lane passes will be available for $50 per guest. No refunds will be given to those who are fatally wounded.
