Adam Silver Sets Several Waymo Cars On Fire In Indianapolis to Drum Up Interest in NBA Finals

After the TV ratings released showing that this year’s NBA Finals is one of the lowest viewed Finals in recent history, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver took to some desperate measures to get people to tune in. Firstly, he had the broadcast team superimpose a small png of the Finals trophy onto the court. After that didn’t work, he locked himself in his office and started doing research on social media to see what the hottest trends were. And there was nothing hotter on the web then the protests in LA setting Waymo cars on fire.

“I saw how many views these videos were getting and my eyes glossed over,” the Commissioner said in a Zoom interview from his jail cell in downtown Indianapolis. “And I thought to myself ‘oh Adam, there’s your answer bud!’ So I asked an old friend of mine Gilbert Arenas to help get some supplies and we were off.”

There were 2 cars damaged, and no injuries reported. The NBA Finals continue tomorrow, where we’ll see if Silver’s grand plan will have any effect. Waymo and Gilbert Arenas could not be reached for comment.
