While we are still several months away from the Oscars Ceremony, and we have already seen several tremendous films worthy of nominations, it might be best for all parties to cancel the whole thing. That would be because the Smurfs movie is set to premiere on July 18th, and Rihanna is Smurfette. That’s right, despite already rebooting the Smurfs franchise in 2011, Paramount and Rihanna are bringing it back in the big 2025. This time, instead of the Smurfs having to go to the human world and have hijinks, they will instead be going to the human world and have hijinks and now Rihanna is Smurfette. The trailer for the movie recently dropped, previewing what is sure to be 120 minutes of blue and Smurf puns and Rihanna as Smurfette songs that will bring the critics to their knees. They got Gargamel to reprise his role as Gargamel, colorful fuzzy creatures that don’t say anything, and Rihanna as Smurfette. No other movie can say they have all three of those things, and Smurfs will have all those and more.
