After multiple shocking trades that saw the Boston Celtics move on from Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis, the team has announced that their longtime logo Lucky the Leprechaun will also be finding a new home next season. The team is sending Lucky to Chicago in exchange for Coby White and 3 second round picks. The Bulls will also be receiving Jayson Tatum’s achilles muscle as trade filler.
“Lucky has been the face of the organization for almost 50 years at this point,” said President of Operations Brad Stevens today. “In the end, however, it is up to our team to decide what is the best way to help this org win a 19th championship, and we felt it was in our best interest to use one of our best assets to acquire a good but not great Guard and a few lottery tickets.”
Lucky has been quick to assimilate to his new team, already growing 2 bull horns and following Benny the Bull on all social platforms. Things had been tense in Lucky’s camp recently as the Leprechaun Legend was reportedly trying to negotiate a new 50 year/$10 billion contract. The Bulls, already paying a premium rate for their logo, will be looking to negotiate a lower rate with Lucky or another trade partner to recuperate some of their lost draft picks.
