Tensions High in Dodgers Dugout After Feisty Mario Kart World Tournament

Despite being one of the best teams in Major League Baseball, the Dodgers are currently dealing with turmoil within the clubhouse. The bitterness started during the club’s recent Mario Kart World tournament, and it seems to have boiled over into their production on the field. Multiple times in the past few games, there have been teammates arguing and making fun of each other centered around the video game kart racer and the events that transpired during that tournament.

“I’m not thinking about it, truthfully,” Dodgers star Mookie Betts said to beat reporters after yesterday’s game. “But I do think it’s kinda funny that I am always the one to call out blue shells and lightning bolts and yet my teammates don’t share that knowledge back to me so I get screwed out of a good item. Like is it so hard to call out these things? And I’m supposed to trust you to call out fly balls too?? It just doesn’t sit right with me. But I’m not thinking about it.”

A leaked image of the tournament standings was posted online by dual threat legend Shohei Ohtani, seemingly to brag about his first place victory. Many fans were quick to point out that Max Muncy had finished in 24th place, and were quick to meme on him for it. Muncy has been one of the most visibly frustrated guys in the dugout since the tournament took place over a week ago.

“I really never played before, and I thought everyone was gonna be cool about that,” Muncy said in an exclusive 60 Minutes interview that is set to air this weekend. “But once I picked Mario as my character, that’s when the insults started and they just didn’t stop. Apparently you’re not supposed to play as Mario in a Mario game? That doesn’t make sense to me, and it’s all I could think about as I stumbled across the finish line every time.”

Many wonder if this could be the beginning of the end for the all star team. However, despite these fights, the Dodgers are 8-2 in their last 10 games including another win today vs Colorado.
